Meet Dr. Jenny!

Jenny Hockenbury, MD

Co-Founder and Author

Jenny is a pediatric emergency medicine doctor with a passion for improving the patient and family experience.

Known for her calm presence in high-stress moments, Jenny uses clear communication and compassionate storytelling to reduce fear and build trust, making medical experiences less overwhelming for kids and families.

She lives in Louisville, Kentucky with her husband and their playful puppy, Mo.

Meet Emily!

Emily Pelosi

Co-Founder and Illustrator

Emily is an illustrator who designs children's books to uplift young readers and their loved ones and help them feel more comfortable about their health. Inspired by her own diagnosis, she uses art and storytelling to help kids navigate challenges of living with chronic conditions.

Emily's mission is to help kids feel seen, supported and encouraged through her work on the books.

She lives in Louisville, Kentucky with her husband, two great kids, and their pup.
